At the end of July 2024, my wife and I made an exciting decision—to order a new Corvette Stingray with delivery at the National Corvette Museum (NCM) in Bowling Green, KY. Given the strong relationship STCC has with Colussy Chevrolet, they were the natural choice to handle our order and delivery requirements. I specifically requested sales associate Tom Priano to guide me through the process. My 2025 Corvette Stingray was preliminarily ordered on August 2, 2024, and Colussy’s allocation was confirmed right away. Tom assured me that the allocation came through quickly, with no issues or constraints, allowing for a fast production timeline.
By August 20, my order moved from preliminary to “locked down,” and was officially accepted by GM production control on August 23. While I had anticipated a lengthy delay—Corvette assembly often takes months—my build had no constraints, unlike the high-wing Z06 models that faced delays.
Production for 2025 Stingrays began on September 9, 2024. On September 10, Colussy informed me that my tentative production week was set for September 23. However, assembly started earlier than expected, beginning on Friday, September 20, and was completed by Monday, September 23. A Corvette takes two days to build—longer than typical GM vehicles—due to the meticulous craftsmanship involved.
Once off the assembly line, my Stingray went through testing, stripe application, and the installation of the rear spoiler and front splitter. At this point, my Corvette was transported “across the street” to the NCM for dealer-installed options and predelivery inspection. The Museum’s team reached out to coordinate the R8C delivery process. Initially, we scheduled delivery for October 12, 2024, but postponed to October 19 so that my daughter and her husband could fully participate in the experience.

As part of the experience, we were issued VIP R8C Museum Delivery badges. A particularly special moment occurred in the Corvette Store—Ray Theriault, Director of GM Bowling Green Assembly (Corvette), approached us to introduce himself and personally congratulate us on our new 2025 Corvette Stingray.
The entire journey—from ordering to delivery—was a dream come true. The National Corvette Museum provided an unforgettable experience, ensuring that every detail was handled with care and enthusiasm. Owning a Corvette is special, but receiving it through the R8C program elevates it to a whole new level.
So much information and opinions are out there these days! So, we pick and choose some interesting clips about America's longest running production sports car. Relax and enjoy the one below; and drop us a line if you'd like. We love to hear from our visitors!
It's easy to gawk over the four-digit power numbers that the ZR1 boasts, or speculate about a possible future that includes an even-more-powerful Zora model, but the real meat and potatoes of the Chevrolet Corvette lineup is the Stingray. Chevy's fastest and most illustrious sports car is now available with four unique powertrain setups (Stingray, E-Ray, Z06, and ZR1) with a fifth likely on the way soon, making it pretty easy to get distracted by the newest, hottest version of the 'Vette. But if you gloss over the standard Corvette, you're making a big mistake. Tell us what you think - we love to hear from our visitors!
After a few days behind the wheel of a 2025 Corvette Stingray Convertible, I was reminded just how strong its performance is at the bottom of the lineup, even if the base model isn't getting all the headlines these days. Remarkable straight-line acceleration, precise steering, extraordinary handling capabilities, and a price tag that undercuts pretty much every direct rival: even without a flat-plane crank V8, some front electric motors, a big damn supercharger, or massive BorgWarner turbos, the standard Chevrolet Corvette still has a lot to offer.
